El "Centro de la Mujer Peruana Flora Tristán" promotes women's human rights and equality in Lima since 1979.

On Facebook, graphic pieces were created on the following occasions:

  • Global Day of Action for Safe and Legal Abortion.

  • Peruvian women’s situation in the framework of the Universal Periodic Review.

  • The LGTBI Pride Day and the fight against discrimination.

  • Various topics related to sexist violence in Peru.

  • Several graphic pieces for the campaign #DéjalaDecidir #DerechoADecidir which organized a Public Forum on sexual violence and the right of women to decide about their futures.

  • Graphic pieces for the VIII Panamazonic Peru Social Forum in which Latin American and Caribbean women denounced the impacts of capitalist, extractivist, colonial, and patriarchal systems on their lives, bodies, and territories.

📆 Today is Women’s Civil and Political Rights Day. For 62 years, women have been able to vote and participate in politics, although we must not forget that when the law was approved, illiterate women, poor women, or indigenous women could not vote. The fight for our citizenship has been long, and we continue to win rights to be truly free. Thanks to all the feminists and women who fought for them and for us! ✊📢🙋‍♀️

During these holidays, let’s not forget what is really important for our society: freedom, justice and equality. In critical moments like these, we all have an obligation to defend democracy and Human Rights from corruption and authoritarian forces. These parties are about fighting.

During this #8M, Las Floras confronted sexist violence, lesbotransphobia, discrimination, hatred, misogyny, racism, and fundamentalisms, whether religious, political, or economic. On March 8th, we stop for ourselves and for everyone.

The public forums «Our right to decide» were launched within the framework of #8March. We will be in Villa El Salvador on March 10 with congressmen from the Republic to discuss the importance of decriminalizing the decision of women against forced pregnancies. You are welcome to join us.
