Trafficking in women in Peru is a very serious problem that affects especially the youngest and the poorest.
Faced with this problem, the State has not yet presented answers that allow women to free themselves from sexual exploitation. It is necessary to face the problem from all its complexity in order to unravel and dismantle the chains that allow it.
There are two clear answers to the problem: a gender approach to eradicate inequality, and a budget to make the policies operational. As long as women do not lift themselves out of poverty, trafficking will remain an unsolved problem. We need to generate equality.

Naming
"The State of Trafficking" shows, trafficking of women is often disguised as a job opportunity where impunity and violence against women are commonplace.
A typical example is "La Pampa shopping center", where hundreds of men leave illegal camps with gold and silver and are ready to eat, sleep, and buy sex. Everything stays the same while the authorities turn a blind eye.
#HumanTrafficking is a fight against poverty and male chauvinists in Peru. Adolescents and young women are the faces of trafficking.
According to statistics, eight out of ten victims of human trafficking are women, with six of them being girls or adolescents. The communication plan was developed to alert the population to the vulnerability of young women, girls and adolescents.
It also demanded that the state create mechanisms to provide survivors with protection and compensation. Also, an observatory of human trafficking sentences to fight impunity effectively.
A brief history of impunity. The National Council of the Magistracy filed an investigation against the Criminal Chamber that acquitted a trafficker who exploited a 14-year-old adolescent in Madre de Dios.
Five Supreme Court judges (Villa Stein, Hinostroza, Rodriguez, Pariona and Neyra) unanimously released the trafficker who abused a teenager in Madre de Dios for twelve hours per day.
